Acknowledgments

  • KAETÉ: in 2016, TOBASA was recognized and selected by KAETÉ Investimentos, manager of the "Sustainable Companies in the Amazon" Fund, controlled by the National Bank of Economic and Social Development (BNDES), as an industrial project of great social and environmental impact in the Amazon Region

  • TEEB: in 2015, TOBASA was recognized by TEEB Brasil (“The Economics of Ecosystem and Biodiversity in Brazil” Project) as an “Important Actor in the Biodiversity Economy in Brazil”, which is a project sponsored by the Brazilian Ministry of the Environment, CNI (National Industry Confederation) and GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit)

  • United Nations (UN): in 2014, TOBASA was chosen in Brazil among the 5 main cases of “Responsible and Sustainable Use of Brazilian Biodiversity” by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). The company was invited to participate in a filmed documentary, which was released in the "Convention on Biological Diversity of the United Nations (UN)" –  considered the most important international convention related to the environment – in October, in the South Korea

  • SEBRAE: in 2014, TOBASA received prominence for its business activities when it was selected for publication (in May) in the Guide "Sustainability for Territorial Development and Fostering the Creation of Innovative and Sustainable Businesses"

  • GLOBO: in 2014, TOBASA was selected in the television program "Good Morning Tocantins", to represent the state of Tocantins in the series entitled "North Integrated Report of Bioindustries"

 

  • INPI: in 2008, TOBASA obtained – for the recognition of its technological innovations – the registration of its main industrial patent: "Equipment and Process for the Full Industrialization of the Babassu Endocarp"

  • FIETO/CNI: in 2002, TOBASA was awarded the "Medal of the Order of Industrial Merit" for the “Relevant Services Rendered to the Industry of Tocantins”

  • FUNBIO: in 2001, TOBASA was ranked in a competition – among more than 1,300 university, institutional and business projects – as one of the 10 best projects of "Sustainable Use of Brazilian Biodiversity"

  • GENTE DE CLASSE: in 2003 and 2005, TOBASA was certified by the magazine as "Successful Company", among the 20 largest taxpayers in the state of Tocantins

  • ACITO: in 2003 and 2004, TOBASA was highlighted as the “Largest Industry in the Municipality”, being honored with the trophyes "Industrial Merit of Tocantinópolis"

  • SEFAZ/TO: in 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000, TOBASA was ranked among the 100 largest taxpayers in the state of Tocantins

  • GAZETA MERCANTIL: in 2000, TOBASA was ranked as the 10th largest company in the state of Tocantins

 

  • VISION MAGAZINE: in 1978, TOBASA was awarded in "Who is Who in the National Economy" as one of "The Biggest Companies of Brazil"

  • SENAI/FIETO: Technological Innovation -> in 2009, TOBASA won the approval of the 1st Technological Project of the State of Tocantins in the National SENAI, with the theme: "COGENERATION OF THERMAL ENERGY IN THE PROCESS OF CARBOACTIVATION OF THE BABASSU COCONUT ENDOCARP”

  • SENAI/FIETO: Technological Innovation -> in 2011, TOBASA won the approval of the 2nd Technological Project of the State of Tocantins in the National SENAI, with the theme: "MANUFACTURE OF HIGH PERFORMANCE ACTIVATED CARBON – BY INNOVATIVE THERMODYNAMIC PROCESS – FROM THE BABASSU COCONUT ENDOCARP”
